Daryl Fansler

Pastor
E-mail Daryl Fansler

Pastor Daryl (or PD as the youth call him) came to St. Paul in 2000 when his daughter, Meg, was 4 yrs. old. Now he and Debra, his wife, spent the summer on college road trips. Meg is a senior at Metro East Lutheran High School in Edwardsville. She doesn’t have a major picked out yet, but plans to be a chef and open her own restaurant.

Part of Pastor Daryl’s satisfaction in ministry at St. Paul comes from watching those who were children and youth when he came, step up to lead us in worship and all facets of our ministry. Even greater satisfaction comes from seeing on Sunday mornings a lot of people in the pews who weren’t there in 2000. Pastor Daryl believes that it is God who has called everyone present into St. Paul. And, he is convinced that God has a great plan and purpose for us. It is exciting to see where God is leading us next!

Pastor Daryl graduated from North Central College and Vanderbilt Divinity School, but he is a lifelong learner. He has especially enjoyed worshiping at and learning from area churches that connect young adults with Christ. His desire is to make St. Paul a place where all generations are able to connect with Christ.

Rhonda Griffin

Music Director
E-mail Rhonda Griffin

Rhonda is very excited to be the Music Director at St. Paul as of July, 2017. Worshipping God through music and leading others to do so is her joy and passion. She earned a BA in Music from SIUE, after choosing to be a stay-at-home mom of three kids until her youngest reached high school. She is also a piano teacher with a studio of 40 students, whom she teaches here at St. Paul during the week. She has been serving as a church musician in some capacity for most of her life, and believes that God has used all of these different experiences to prepare her for this position.

She is looking forward to seeing what He has in store for all of us as we work together to worship and glorify Him. One of her favorite Scripture passages is: Psalm 150: 1-6. Praise the Lord. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens. 2 Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness. 3 Praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals. 4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dancing, praise Him with the strings and pipe, 5 Praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals. 6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!!”
