Greetings!
Pastor Edward Granadosin was born in Manila, Philippines. He is the youngest of 6 boys born to the late Bishop & Mrs. Paul Locke Granadosin of the Philippines Annual Conference (Bishop from 1968-2000). He comes from a singing family where the 6 boys eventually formed a group called THE GRANADOSIN BROTHERS. With their father as Bishop and the boys leading Music, they made an impact in encouraging the UM Churches through concerts, services, and performances. But most of all they have touched the lives of people about Christ’s love and salvation.
With the gift of music the family had, Pastor Ed decided to pursue it further. He is a graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Music, Diliman Quezon City, where he majored in voice under the guidance of the late Professor Andrea O. Veneracion, Founder and Director of the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal singers. Pastor Ed’s musicianship has allowed him to travel extensively all over the world to places including Japan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Monaco, Spain, Canada, Mexico, and of course throughout the United States of America.
With all of these achievements and expertise, God found a way to transform Pastor Ed’s path into servanthood as a follower of Jesus Christ. The year was 2010 in Las Vegas, NV when he said “yes” to God’s call to be in Full-Time Ministry. In 2014 at the North District office of the Desert Southwest Conference in Phoenix, AZ he was licensed and appointed as a Local Pastor for the Filipino Americans in the Las Vegas area called Grace Fil-Am Ministry.
After Serving the Desert Southwest Conference for 5 years, Pastor Ed found a new home in the Illinois Great Rivers Conference. Starting on Feb. 1, 2019 Pastor Ed began serving East Alton First UMC of the Mississippi River District (now the Central District) to this year 2023. An opportunity was given by the IGRC for him to serve St Paul UMC as his 2nd charge. His ministry at St. Paul UMC officially began July 1, 2023. All glory to our God in Christ!
Pastor Ed is married to Ruth Ramos and they have 3 children… Elyza, Seth, and John Edru and 2 granddaughters… Khaelene and Bella. Pastor Ed continues his Pastoral studies @Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. To God be the glory!
